COMMUNITY EVENTS
Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation (PACF) includes Community Pride in its Mission Statement, and over the years has coordinated Farmers Market, Classic Car Shows, and continues to host Pittsburg Pops concerts and Holiday Parades. PACF sponsors celebrations of local culture, including the annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event in November. Today, PACF hosts events located within Railroad Book Depot, the California Theatre, the Art Shack and between our two Art Gallerias in the downtown area.
PACF hosts annual fundraisers for its programs that have become staple community events, such as the California Zinfandel Competition & Awards Dinner in September, the Annual Poker Tournament in December, and our Casino Night hosted in March.
PACF is also a supporter of other groups' efforts at cultural event planning and sponsorship, lending a hand with Shakespeare in the Park, Bay Area Children's Theater, Pittsburg Pops, Pittsburg Community Theatre, Juneteenth, as well as art and theater camps for youth.
