PACF PROGRAMS

Pittsburg's Old Town Art Centre at 485 Railroad Ave. (operated by Pittsburg Arts & Community Foundation) is a working studio and classroom for both professional and student artists. Many professional artists working at the Old Town Art Centre serve as instructors to artists in every age group.

It is our belief that everyone is born an artist, but somewhere along the way it is killed or abandoned. Our goal is to keep the artist alive in everyone by working with children and adults as long as one can continue to fuel their personal desire to create. Through true mentorship in a safe and comfortable environment, we are developing and molding future artists.

Pittsburg Arts & Community Foundation sponsors and coordinates core programs that serve our community.

Classes and Programs

PACF facilitates classes that include arts and crafts for kids; tutoring; beginning, intermediate and advanced art classes, and performing arts camps during summer vacation. PACF nurtures the artist and reader in everyone. For more information on programs and classes available, check the Old Town Art Centre page and Railroad Book Depot.

Pittsburg Holiday Parade

Every December, Pittsburg hosts a Holiday Parade where businesses, dance and youth groups march and perform along Railroad Avenue in Old Town. Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation is a partner organization to the City of Pittsburg and other groups, including the Pittsburg High School Marching Show Band, who make this annual event a show of community pride.
