PACF PROGRAMS

Pittsburg Arts & Community Foundation sponsors and coordinates core programs that serve our community.

Housing Advocacy

Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation (PACF) is an advocate for attractive, safe and affordable housing in Pittsburg. PACF assisted in the development of new housing at La Almenara, and helps attract funding from local, state and federal grants to projects in Pittsburg.

In the coming years, PACF will assist a private developer in linking services for veterans to a residential development aimed at homeless veterans in Pittsburg. The services are planned to be delivered on-site, to help veterans adjust to life after their military service.

Classes and Programs

PACF facilitates classes that include arts and crafts for kids; tutoring; Bricks 4 Kidz; Kids Yoga; beginning, intermediate and advanced art classes, and performing arts camps during summer vacation. PACF nurtures the artist and reader in everyone. For more information on programs and classes available, check the Art Shack page and Railroad Book Depot.

Pittsburg Holiday Parade

Every December, Pittsburg hosts a Holiday Parade where businesses, dance and youth groups march and perform along Railroad Avenue in Old Town. Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation is a partner organization to the City of Pittsburg and other groups, including the Pittsburg High School Marching Show Band, who make this annual event a show of community pride.
